3DCG
We primarily create product visualizations centered on automobiles. 3D CG allows for visual expressions that are impossible to attain through filming alone, with remarkable efficiency. At Digic, we believe our strength also lies in integrating everything from CAD data conversion to final image production. We deliver faster, more appealing results by leveraging our retouching techniques cultivated over many years, in addition to streamlining through our wealth of accumulated know-how.
Retouch
Our highly experienced retouchers bring our customers’ vision to life by grasping an understanding of the final finished image.
We collaborate with photographers, designers, and 3D CG creators in pursuit of new possibilities in expression, delivering inspiring and surprising results.
We constantly strive to enhance our technologies to consistently provide high-quality images based on future-oriented ideas.
WebGL
We make full use of WebGL technology to create high-quality 3D content that runs on web browsers. Using WebGL allows us to provide clients with beautiful 3D experiences in real time, realizing more attractive user experiences.
WorkFlow
In Digic, We uses the following workflow on 3DCG Retouch project.

Verifying specifications /
Creation in various grades
A wide range of grades are often available for every car or motorcycle model, so at Digic, we cooperate with product specialists to make sure no details are overlooked in putting together different grades quickly and accurately. Compiling the prepared grades into MEL ensures an efficient workflow in later stages.

Setting up for
catalog production
Detailed texture adjustments are made in preparation for rendering. Presentations can be made more realistic by adding the characteristics of wear, dirtiness, etc., as requested.

Rendering
Lighting can be adjusted to match the situation in order to make the product more appealing as an advertisement. We also produce backgrounds and environmental effects. Effects that are difficult to control through live camerawork can be created realistically using CG, enhancing quality for more engaging images.

Retouching
We carry out final retouching. Images are made even more appealing using our know-how cultivated over more than 20 years. We also leverage our retouching techniques to combine 3D CG with the captured images.

Modeling
We create models from photos and orthographic drawings. These models are used for images in advertisements, so we pay meticulous attention to topology to ensure smooth highlights and details in shapes. We can even repair damage to CAD data or provide supplementary data for missing parts.

Retopology
We minimize the number of polygons while maintaining shape to ensure smooth running on WebGL.

Setting up for WebGL
We fine tune visual presentations on the browser by adjusting textures using PlayCanvas, Three.js, etc., as well as buttons for changing grades, restricting camera movements, etc. The quality of 3D data used (GLB/USDZ) is maintained while undergoing high compression to allow smooth use in browsers and AR.
